March 16 will mark the 14th Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® in Lafayette, La. Since 1999, Komen Acadiana has raised over $2.7 million for breast cancer research, screening, education and treatment for its six-parish service area. Race registration is now open, and the public is invited to join in the fight against breast cancer by creating a race fundraising team today. Each team is encouraged to design a unique T-shirt to enter into a people's choice competition and is welcome to participate in race day ceremonies, including a team T-shirt fashion show.
Participants may enter the T-shirt competition by submitting photos of their designs online via Komen Acadiana's facebook page www.facebook.com/komenacadiana. The team whose shirt photo receives the most "likes" will be publicly recognized on Race Day.
Find race day details and register online at www.komenacadiana.org. Team T-Shirt guidelines can be found on the Teams page of our website along with the official Team logo.
Our vision is a world without breast cancer. Our promise is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality of care for all, and energizing science to find the cures.
