Kenner's 'Music in the Park' returns

KENNER, La. (AP) - A group of private sponsors have stepped up to help return the popular live "Music in the Park" concerts to Kenner's Rivertown.
Starting Friday, rock band Groovy 7 will perform a free concert on the back porch of the Kenner Produce Co. shed of Heritage Park.
In addition to the free concerts, held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Music in the Park also features vendors selling both food and crafts. The event will be held every Friday through May 25.
Among the sponsors are Digital Engineering & Imaging Inc., Treasure Chest Casino, Friends of Rivertown, The Ice House, Air Effect Skytraker and Pepsi.
