COVINGTON, La. (AP) Covington police say a Kenner couple has been arrested with the operation of a "rolling" meth lab in Covington.
The Times-Picayune reports that a police officer working a security detail at a Walgreen's store discovered a woman shoplifting. The officer chased the woman, who fled, stopping her at a gas station.
Capt. Jack West says a search of the truck turned up "containers containing chemicals consistent with a rolling meth lab" as well as hypodermic needles.
West says 27-year-old Bubba Joseph Charbonnet was booked with creation of a clandestine laboratory and possession of drug paraphernalia. Thirty-year-old Tina Rose Majoue was booked with shoplifting, creation of a clandestine laboratory and possession of drug paraphernalia.
