Kenner gets 3 mobile message boards

KENNER, La. (AP) - The city of Kenner says it has acquired three mobile message boards at no cost to city taxpayers.
The city says such boards are primarily used for alerting motorists to construction zones, but also can be used during hurricane evacuations, for missing children alerts, crowd control and special events.
The boards were purchased with money distributed to each parish through a state homeland security grant program.
