TW-Telecom users were without phones earlier today

TW-Telecom users in Southern Louisana were without phone service today. Representatives say storms moving through Lake Charles knocked out power to their main office. Roughly 140 claims were filed, but representatives weren't sure how many people were actually affected. The lines were down in Lake Charles, Baton Rouge, and Lafayette, including our newsroom. Our lines are back up and running, and across the region service is being restored. Lafayette General Medical center was also effected, but they did have a special line up and running for the emergency department.
