Jury to get airline exec's child porn case

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (AP) - Attorneys are scheduled to make their final appeals to a federal jury in the trial of the founder of a South Texas cargo airline on trial on child pornography charges.

Closing arguments are scheduled for Monday afternoon in Brownsville in the trial of Robert Hedrick, who testified in his own defense on Friday.

The founder of the air cargo carrier Pan American Airways is charged with five counts related to child pornography and sexual exploitation of children. If convicted, he could get up to 20 years in prison on just one count of distributing child pornography.

However, his attorneys said he has been the target of a conspiracy. Hedrick, himself, told jurors that several people were motivated to frame him on the charges.
