Jury Selection under Way for Suspect in 2010 Murder

Jury selection has begun in the trial against a Lafayette murder suspect. Wesley James Monroe, Jr., is charged with the first-degree murder of Thomas Jolivette. Jolivette's body was found in an alley behind a shopping center at the corner of Cameron Street and University Avenue in the early morning hours of November 6, 2010. Monroe is also charged with aggravated kidnapping and armed robbery in connection with another incident that took place October 13, 2010.
