A Bossier Parish jury has convicted a Shreveport man of killing his former boss.
Prosecutors say Robert Earl Walter killed 32-year-old April Fulghum, manager of the Lexington Place Apartment where he was a maintenance worker.
Fulghum fired Walter the morning of Oct. 10. He went home then return to the office and shot her. Walter later turned himself in to Shreveport police.
The jury convicted him Thursday of second-degree murder, which carries mandatory life in prison. Sentencing is set for July 9.
