The Junior League of Lafayette recently awarded grants in the sum of over $79,000. Annually the Junior League of Lafayette awards financial support through a competitive process to qualifying non-profits whose programs support the general well-being of women and the healthy development of children. Funds become available through the efforts and community support of the Tinsel & Treasures Holiday Market. This year's recipients include:

Girl Scouts of Louisiana
Hearts of Hope
Junior Achievement of Acadiana
Lafayette Animal Aid
Lafayette Education Foundation
Make a Wish Foundation
Miles Perret Cancer Services
Progressive Community Outreach Center
The Family Tree
United Way of Acadiana
Danielle Cyriaque Claiborne, chair of collaborative opportunity grants says, "The Junior League of Lafayette is proud to give back to the community and aid other non-profit organizations with their work in the community. These organizations were chosen because they share and extend the League's Mission. As a result, more women and children in our community will benefit from the programs provided by these wonderful organizations."
