A Florida man has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years behind bars for defrauding $340,000 from Louisiana residents seeking business loans. According to prosecutors, Alcides Roman received $200,000 in advanced fee contracts from his customers after telling them he could secure $26 million for their projects. Roman's customers never received their financing or a refund of their payment. Roman will serve three years of supervised probation after his release from prison.
