Judge Orders Prosecutors to Respond to Lavergne Motions

A district judge has ordered prosecutors in Brandon Scott Lavergne's case to provide responses to motions filed by Lavergne last month. Judge Herman Clause gave the prosecution until next Friday--February 15--to "assist the court in addressing (Lavergne's) requests" and to "insure representation by both the State and the defense." In paperwork filed January 22, Lavergne requested, among other documents, copies of court transcripts and pretrial motions, warrants, and a list of witnesses.
