A Calcasieu Parish judge has tossed out motions filed by attorneys for a man accused of killing his wife 51 years ago. KPLC reports that Judge Robert Wyatt agreed with the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney's Office assertion that Felix Vail's lawyers have the records they need to proceed with the case.
Vail is charged with the second-degree murder of his wife, Eunice native Mary Horton Vail. She was found dead in October 1962 in the Calcasieu River. Her death was initially ruled an accidental drowning, but the case was recently reclassified as a homicide.
Felix Vail will return to court for a preliminary exam on June 18 at 9:00 A. M.
