Judge denies mother bond in toddler's rubbing alcohol death

The Turkey Creek woman accused of killing her toddler by making her drink rubbing alcohol has been denied bond. Wednesday, an Evangeline Parish district judge ordered Ayla Lynch, 22, to be held without bond. Lynch was charged Friday with first degree murder in the death of her 15-month-old daughter, Brooklyne Mann. Lynch had been a suspect in the child's murder since her death in April.

She was charged after investigators gathered and processed evidence. Lynch is accused of giving the girl rubbing alcohol and taking her frustrations out on her daughter after having a fight with her boyfriend. Evangeline Parish Sheriff's investigators say Lynch was on Lortab and methamphetamine at the time.

On Tuesday, September 24, a grand jury will hear evidence in the case and decide whether Lynch should be charged.
