Fort Worth, Texas (July 16, 2012) - The scores are final, tallies have been calculated, and the 2012 CBR Horizon Series has been closed out for the season. The 2012 CBR Horizon Series Champion is Josh Barentine of Johnson Bayou,
Louisiana.

Barentine first made his mark on the CBR scene through the Horizon Series and easily earned himself a spot on the
CINCH Tour. Earlier this year, he made headlines with a story about his life. ( * see link below) Having lost everything he owned, through personal tragedy, he came back to the only thing he knew, bull riding, to get his life back. He now has it all within arm's reach. Barentine is currently 2nd in the standings and just three bull rides away from being crowned the next CBR World Champion.
"I'm so happy. I have worked hard all season, and it feels good to finally have it pay off. I'm not going to celebrate too much just yet. I still have a big one ahead of me. I hope there will be an even bigger reason to celebrate in Cheyenne," stated Barentine in a phone interview.
Barentine is awarded a Hy O Silver, gold champions buckle and a hefty $20,000 bonus check which will be presented to
him next week at the CBR World Championships during Cheyenne Frontier Days.

The 2013 CBR Horizon Series and CINCH Tour will crank right up starting this August.- Tour dates to be posted soon.
Cheyenne Frontier Days begins July 20th through the 29th with the CBR World Championship July 23rd and 24th. More
