BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Gov. Bobby Jindal has a new member of his communications staff, a former Republican political operative in Washington.
Jindal's office announced Friday that Michael Reed was hired as the GOP governor's deputy communications director. Reed was previously research director for the National Republican Senatorial Committee for four years, according to the governor's office.
Reed also worked in the research department for Mitt Romney's 2008 presidential campaign. He replaces Aaron Baer, who the governor's office said is leaving to work in the private sector.
