UPDATE: Jennings Teen Caught In Crossfire Remains On Life Support

UPDATE: Update on Shooting on Tuesday, the 14 year old victim remains on life support system in a LafayetteareaHospital. During the search of the apartment where the shooting happened several identification cards and driver's licenses were found that were traced back to several burglaries that had occurred in Lafayette. The information found has been passed onto the Lafayette Police department and the shooting remains under investigation. Update: Kenneth Pattum has been arrested, charged with attempted manslaughter.

The Jennings Police Department is handling a shooting that occurred at approximately 5:15am, in a residence located in the area of Louise St and Granger St.
Jennings Police say they received the initial call from the Jennings American Legion Hospital where the victim, a 14 year-old male, was transported by relatives and then air lifted to an area hospital where he is undergoing treatment. At this time the teen is said to have been shot twice in the upper chest.
