Jennings Police Department Shakeup

A shake up in the Jennings Police Department appears to be in the works. The Jennings Daily News is reporting Chief Johnny Lassiter will step down and return to his position as Lieutenant. Meanwhile, reports indicate he will be replaced by a St. Martinville law enforcement official. Mayor Terry Duhon tells KATC the chief is an appointed position that he's responsible for. Duhon wouldn't comment about what's in the works. He said he would make an announcement Friday. Chief Lassiter had no comment.
