Jennings man arrested in crawfish theft

JENNINGS, La. (AP) - A 31-year-old Jennings man has been arrested in the theft of two sacks of live crawfish from his employer.

The American Press reports Jeremy Chaisson was arrested Saturday at a crawfish pond on Lyons Road.

Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office spokesman Christopher Ivey says Chaisson was allegedly caught with two sacks of live crawfish taken from his employer, Cody's Seafoods' crawfish pond.

Chaisson was booked on charges of theft of crawfish.

This is the fifth theft of crawfish arrest reported by the sheriff's office this month.
