Jennings 8 Will Be Featured on National TV

The unsolved murders of 8 women in Jeff Davis Parish will be featured on national television Wednesday night. A crew with the TV show Dark Minds was in Jennings this past year, working to find out more information about the cases.
"I go out and I try to dredge up new information on cold cases," said M. Williams Phelps, a crime author and investigative journalist who is part of a team working on Dark Minds, a show which profiles unsolved homicides believed to be the work of serial killers.
He says he was drawn to the so-called "Jennings 8," because he thinks it's a solvable case.
"[In Jennings} I think you need someone to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community to speak for the victims," he said.
The episode of Dark Minds featuring Jennings will air at 9:00 p.m. Wednesday on Investigation Discovery.
