BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Former LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson has pleaded no contest to a charge of simple battery in state court.
The charge stems for a bar fight in which Jefferson and other LSU players were accused of participating on Aug. 19, 2011.
The Advocate reports state District Judge Chip Moore on Wednesday put the 22-year-old Jefferson on supervised bench probation for one year and ordered him to perform 30 hours of community service work.
Moore ruled Tuesday that Jefferson had violated a term of his bond in the battery case by being arrested last week on a drug-related count.
The 22-year-old Jefferson was arrested along with former LSU players Tyrann Mathieu, Derrick Bryant and Karnell Hatcher.
