Jefferson Parish chasing stolen sewer grates

GRETNA, La. (AP) - Jefferson Parish is locking its sewer grates to deter thieves.
The parish sheriff's department says at least 26 have turned up missing over the first three months of the year.
Not one has turned up, although sheriff's Detective Todd Rivere has visited scrap metal yards to look for them.
The parish said Wednesday that its Drainage Department is now attaching locks to the grates.
