JENNINGS, La. (AP) - Interior renovations are set to begin this week at the main headquarters of the Jefferson Davis Parish Library in Jennings.
Director Linda LeBert-Corbello says the library will remain open during the project which is expected to be completed in 90 days.
LeBert-Corbello says of the more tedious aspects of the project will be done at nights and on weekends, she said.
She says the library is slated to undergone almost $150,000 in renovations over the next two to three years.
The plan calls for renovating the current reading room for a new meeting room for board meetings, tutoring programs and other needs.
A new children's area will also be located to the back of the library in what is now a meeting and office area.
