HARVEY, La. (AP) - The Jefferson Parish School System has signed an agreement with Delgado Community College in New Orleans for a plan allowing Jefferson Parish juniors and seniors to take dual enrollment courses at Delgado.
In a statement on the agreement that was signed Monday, school system and Delgado officials say the first career program offered to Jefferson Parish students will involve health care industry job training.
This fall, up to 40 students will participate in a one-year medical registration specialist.
The program will award students with a certificate of technical studies in medical registration, along with credit toward an associate degree as they complete high school.
