Jeanerette Man Arrested After Resisting Arrest

Torie J. Marks 19 yoa of 338 Sorrell Railroad Row, Jeanerette was arrested on 4-26-2010 at 2:27 pm on warrants for Jeanerette Police Department for Possession of Marijuana, No Seat Belt, Resisting an Officer, Driver Must be Licensed, Resisting an Officer by Flight, Aggravated Battery, Assault by Drive by Shooting, Illegal Use of a Weapon, Criminal Damage to Property, a warrant for St. Mary for Possession of Cocaine and he was additionally charged with Resisting an Officer by Flight and Possession of Marijuana. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were patrolling the Sorrell area, attempting to located subjects on active warrants, when they located above suspect and attempted to speak with suspect when he fled on foot with Agents giving chase and apprehending suspect. Suspect was placed under arrest and during search of his person a small amount of marijuana was located. Suspect was booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
