NEW ORLEANS (AP) The 2010 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival kicks off in 30 days.

Festival producer Quint Davis said Tuesday that Jazz Fest is an example of the power and depth of New Orleans' culture. He says 80 percent of the festival acts are homegrown, including Big Sam's Funky Nation, Terence Blanchard, The Neville Brothers, Theresa Andersson and The Dixie Cups. Scheduled to join them are such national performers as Aretha Franklin, Simon & Garfunkel, Darius Rucker, Anita Baker, Pearl Jam and B.B. King.

Tributes also are planned to mark the 100th birthday of jazz trumpeter, singer and songwriter Louis Prima, whose face graces this year's festival's poster.
