BATON ROUGE: Helping adults and adolescents with concerns relating to emotional, chemical dependency, mental health, and parenting is the mission of the recently opened Jamestown Avenue Counseling Center of Baton Rouge according to Johnny Patout, LCSW and partner in the new center. "We have brought together an experienced and talented group of mental health and chemical dependency professionals with more than four decades of combined experience in the field, and have a unique ability to help individuals and families deal with their concerns or those of their loved ones," states Patout.
Patout is joined by Sally Siakel, LPC, LMFT who is both a partner and therapist in the Center, and Carol Murphy, MD, a graduate of the Harvard Medical School and long term practicing psychiatrist in the Baton Rouge area. Dr. Murphy will serve as Medical Director for Jamestown Avenue Counseling Center.
The Center will provide a broad range of counseling services to adult and adolescent patients, by appointment during its Monday-Friday hours of 8:30am to 5pm. The Center also offers after hours appointments for the convenience of patients and families, and a 24 hour On-Call services is available through the center's main number.
"Our collective careers have been about helping people overcome issues relating to mental health concerns and/or alcohol or other chemical dependency concerns," states Patout. "We are pleased to have brought together this high level team of professionals who have a great insight into the very individual needs of people, both adolescents and adults. This is about helping people overcome emotional challenges and improve the quality of their lives," he adds.
