The Jacob Crouch Foundation, a non-profit organization which works to prevent suicide, has seen an increase in calls in the last few days. The executive director says there's no way to gauge whether more people are reaching out for help in light of Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch's death, but she says more people have called to find out more information about the foundation's support group.
Besides preventing suicide, the foundation educates and supports people contemplating suicide and helps survivors cope when a loved one is lost to suicide.
Of note, there is no relation between Travis Crouch and the Jacob Crouch Foundation.
