IRS Opens Hot Line for Spill Victims

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The Internal Revenue Service has opened a
telephone line to assist taxpayers affected by the Gulf of Mexico
oil spill.
The hot line is designed to answer questions about BP payments
or help anyone with filing or payment hardships because of the
spill.
The number is 1-866-562-5227 and is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m
CDT.
