IRS Credit Check to Start on June 12th

NEW ORLEANS - Need to check your credit? That's tax credit or for some, tax credits. The Internal Revenue Service is offering a credit checkup as we reach the half way point of 2012. These tax tips will focus on individual and business tax credits that you may have missed claiming on your 2011 tax return or may be planning to claim on your 2012 tax return next year. The tips will be issued on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the next 4 weeks starting on Tuesday, June 12th.
"IRS Tax Credit Tips will offer concise, useful information on topics affecting millions of taxpayers," explained Dee Harris Stepter, IRS spokesperson for Louisiana and Mississippi. "These easy-to-read tips will cover a wide range of tax credits from energy efficiency to education to hiring incentives for employers."
