Iowa Teens Arrested for Home Invasion

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office arrested a man and a juvenile after a shooting and home invasion that happened late Monday night in south Lake Charles.
Authorities were dispatched to a mobile home on Country Club Road in Lake Charles around 9:00 p.m. on Monday night in reference to a shooting.
Their investigation revealed that a man wearing a jacket and mask kicked in the front door to the home. He was allegedly armed with a pistol, and demanded money from the resident before shooting him. He reportedly then stole several personal items from the home before fleeing on foot.
Detectives arrested 19-year-old Cody Allison of Iowa and an unidentified male juvenile. They have been charged with armed robbery with a firearm and attempted second degree murder.
Allison was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and the juvenile was booked into the Juvenile Detention Center. Allison's bond was set at $250,000.
The victim in the shooting is being treated at a local hospital. His injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
