A Morgan City man has been arrested on a charge of second-degree murder, along with two women who have each been charged with accessory to second degree murder, as a joint St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office/Berwick Police Department investigation into the death of a Bayou Vista man continues.
Detectives say they made three additional arrests in the death of Willie Francis Wednesday. According to the SMPSO, the three arrested are:

Prior to these arrests, on Nov. 5, a 15-year-old juvenile female was taken into custody for second degree murder. Because she is a juvenile, no additional information regarding her identity will be released.
According to police reports, on the night of Oct. 29 a sheriff's deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area located Francis's vehicle on Highway 90 with the engine running. At approximately 10:30 am on Oct. 30, Berwick Police say they received a phone call regarding the discovery of a body along Hwy. 182. The St. Mary Parish Coroner identified the deceased as 23-year-old Willie Francis of Bayou Vista.
According to the coroner, Willie Francis sustained multiple stab wounds. Detectives say Craft and the juvenile attacked Francis on Highway 182 in Berwick, stabbing him to death.
Detectives say Priscilla Francis and Autumn Alfred both had knowledge of the crime, but the motive behind the homicide remains under investigation. Evidence gathered at the location is being analyzed at the Acadiana Crime Lab.
Again this case remains under investigation. Anyone with information may contact the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office at 985-384-1622 or 337-828-1960 or Berwick Police Department at 985-384-7710.
