International marketing assistance available to La. food exporters

Lafayette area companies interested in selling agricultural and food products overseas are invited to meet with Jerry Hingle, Director of Southern United States Trade Association (SUSTA), on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, from 1:00pm - 2:00pm at Le centre International in downtown Lafayette, 735 Jefferson Street.

The Southern United States Trade Association (SUSTA) is a non-profit agricultural export-trade development association comprised of the Departments of Agriculture of the 15 southern states and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Since 1973, their programs and services have assisted exporters of high-value food and agricultural products. SUSTA promotes the export of U.S. products by offering brand promotion programs, export market research, promotional trade events, export training, and trade contacts at little to no cost to businesses. Programs and services are open to southern U.S. exporters of food and agricultural products. For example, the Market Access Program (MAP) Branded reimburses 50% of eligible expenses incurred by small businesses in promoting exports.
