Inspection leads to closure of Lafourche bridge

THIBODAUX, La. (AP) - A state transportation department inspection has led to the closure of a bridge in Lafourche Parish.
The inspection revealed concerns about the pilings of the bridge over the Hollywood Canal near Schriever. Officials tell The Daily Comet the bridge will be closed to traffic for at least the next three months while repairs are made.
