The Lafayette Sheriff's Office is looking for a work crew inmate accused of stealing a truck from the Hilton parking lot. Lt. Craig Stansbury says he was part of a work crew of inmates helping set up at the rodeo. Stansbury says the inmate was in jail on misdemeanor charges - unauthorized use of a movable and drug paraphenalia.
According to rodeo officials, the 39-year old Paul Brown took off in a bull fighter costume, but Lt. Stansbury can't confirm that. He says Brown was last seen wearing black sweat pants and a dark sweat shirt.
The truck he's accused of stealing is a silver 2003 Ford pickup, which was running, but was unoccupied. The stolen vehicle's license plate number is W601581; it also has a has a dent on the drivers side door with a sticker on the rear bumper that reads "How is my driving".
Paul Brown was incarcerated on 12-15-10 by Lafayette Police Dept. for Unauthorized Use of a movable with a bond of $2500.00.
