ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - Alexandria Police say an inmate injured last week in a wreck on Louisiana 28 West has died.
Authorities say 38-year-old Sylvester Miller, of New Orleans, was pronounced dead Wednesday. Miller was one of three people hurt Friday when 38-year-old Kelly Tuttle, of Pineville, veered her Jeep into an inmate labor van and inmates working as part of a road crew.
The Jeep struck Miller and 47-year-old Robert Fuller, a city employee. Tuttle and Fuller were treated at the scene and released.
KALB-TV reports charges have not been filed. Investigators say they're still awaiting results of toxicology reports and other tests conducted before charges will be decided.
