POLLOCK, La. (AP) - Federal marshals and Grant Parish sheriff's deputies are looking for an Oklahoma inmate who escaped from the minimum-security prison in Pollock.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons says 26-year-old Juan Garza was found missing at the 10 a.m. head count Sunday.

He's serving a 12-year sentence for possessing a firearm in Oklahoma's western federal district after a felony conviction. He was scheduled for release in February 2022.

A news release says the U.S. Marshals Service and Grant Parish Sheriff's Department have been notified of the escape and an internal investigation has begun.

Authorities ask anyone with information about Garza to call the Marshals Service at (318) 934-4300.

He's described as Hispanic, 5-foot-8 and 155 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
