The case of an Abbeville infant who died after suffering a broken wrist, fractured ribs, and a fractured skull will be presented to a Vermilion Parish Grand Jury. Jurors will convene on May 6 and will hear cases over two days.
Jayla Broussard died in December, and the coroner ruled the infant died from blunt force trauma. No arrests have been in the case. Instead, a grand jury will hear the facts of the case and decide who's responsible for Broussard's death.
