Indian Mound Road Fully Engulfed Structure

An early morning house fire is the result of four Lafayette residents without a home. Just after midnight Lafayette Fire Dept responded to a house fire on the 300 block of Indian Mound Road. When the officials arrived the roof top and car port were engulfed in flames. The house sustained heavy fire damage, but the occupants, Juanita Burleigh, her son, Ed and his daughter along with a male relative, managed to escape with no injuries.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
