Inauguration set for Gretna officials

GRETNA, La. (AP) - City officials will be sworn-in in ceremonies on July 1 at the Mel Ott Multipurpose Center in Gretna.

The ceremonies are set for 6 p.m.

To be sworn-in are Belinda Cambre Constant as mayor; Arthur Lawson as chief of police; and City Council members Wayne Rau, Milton Crosby, Joseph Marino III, Mark Miller and Raylyn Reine Beevers.

The ceremonies also will mark Gretna's celebration of its centennial as an incorporated community in Jefferson Parish.
