Identity Sought in Armed Robbery

Detectives with the Lafayette Police Department are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect for a recent robbery. On February 17, 2010, at approximately 4:00 am, the suspect approached an employee on the exterior of the business at 101 South College Road and forced the employee back inside at gunpoint. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash and fled north on Johnston Street on foot. The clerk was not injured during the robbery.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspect to contact the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
