IceGators Name New Coach

The Louisiana IceGators signed John Gibson as the new head coach for the franchise. Coach Gibson has a successful track recored as both a player and a coach including a championship in 2004 as head coach of the Huntsville Channel Cats.
“He is definitely the man to lead us in the right direction and help us attain our pre-season goals,” states President/General Manager of the IceGators, Brent Sapergia. “John has a reputation as being a players coach when winning but a disciplinarian when not winning.”
“I am very thankful for the opportunity to coach the IceGators, and I look forward to the challenges that lay ahead,” states Coach Gibson. “We have a group of quality players and I am confident that we will head in the right direction in no time. Although we are facing a little adversity, we will come out as stronger team because of it. I am confident that the great fans of South Louisiana will be there to support us and have a hand in leading the IceGators back to prominence in the hockey world.”
