Iberia Parish Prescription Drug Drop-off Success

On September 25, 2010 the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division participated in the DEA'S nationwide prescription drug program. The purpose of the event was for citizens to be able to have a means to dispose of their unused, unwanted and expired medication. Agents considered the event a success, due to amount of medication dropped off. Agents collected approximately 12 pounds of medication that will be destroyed properly.
