The Iberia Parish Council is announcing qualifications for applicants interested in the District two seat. The seat will become vacant upon the resignation of Iberia Parish Council member Curtis "Joe" Boudoin, which will be effective on Friday, August 15th, 2014.
According to the Council, members of the Iberia Parish Council must be at least 18 years old, and qualified electors and residents of the election district they represent. The Council says all applicants must be residents of District two, may not hold dual office, and may not serve simultaneously on certain other public boards specified in the Constitution of Louisiana.
The Council says anyone interested in seeking this position should forward a letter of interest and/or resume to the attention of Mr. Roger Duncan, Chairman, Iberia Parish Council, c/o Clerk of the Council, 300 Iberia Street- Suite 410, New Iberia, LA 70560.
