Iberia Parish Deputies Make Arrest In Home Burglary Case

On March 15, 2010 at approximately 07:00 p.m. Detectives with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office arrested Jake Trahan age 24, for burglary of a residence on the 700 Block of Creighton Drive New Iberia. The burglary initially took place on March 12th 2010; however Detectives were able to locate the stolen items shortly after. Detectives then received information that Trahan was responsible for the burglary and attempted to locate him for questioning. On the 15th, Trahan was questioned by Detectives and it was determined he was responsible for this burglary.
Items stolen from the residence were mainly electronics and tools. The items were returned to the owner by authorities. At this time Detectives do not believe Trahan is responsible for other burglaries within Iberia Parish.
