Iberia Parish Library wants children, teens, adults, and even professionals to hop on over for some fun Easter activities during the month of April.
The Parkview Branch wants people to eat their words as it hosts an Edible Book Contest on April 12 in celebration of National Library Week. Between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., anyone may submit a tasty literary creation constructed out of food. A judging panel will present awards to the delectable submissions in four categories:
Children (ages 5-10)
The library staff would like to remind entrants to be creative and to make certain the book is edible. However, the book need not be desirable to eat.
At the Coteau and Parkview branches during the month of April, the Iberia Parish Library has many fun crafts and Easter programs for children and their parents to attend. Library patrons are urged to select the events that best suit their schedules:
Coteau Branch: Drop-In Craft / April 14-18 / 1:30-5:30 pm / Create an egg craft
Parkview Branch: Craft / April 14 / 4:00 pm / Sock Bunny Workshop / Registration Required
All drop-in crafts and Easter programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Library and your
Iberia Parish Library. To register for a program you can call any branch of the Iberia Parish Library or go online at www.iberialibrary.com and click on the SignUp calendar link. For more information, call the main branch at (337) 364-7024.
