Iberia deputies arrest two in unrelated bomb threats

The Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office arrested two people in unrelated bomb threats. Peter Collins III is accused of threatening to bomb McDonalds on Main Street around 2:00 this afternoon. "The call was made to the directly to the business," Public Information Officer Ryan Turner said. Collins is charged with communicating of false information of planned arson.

In a separate incident, a 15-year-old boy was arrested today after allegedly calling in a threat to Jeanerette Sr. High School on Wednesday. The boy is a former student of the school. He was charged with communication of false information of a planned bombing on school property and was released to the custody of his parents. The school was evacuated and searched, but no bomb was found.
