The suspect from the Capital One Bank robbery was arrested in Atlanta, Georgia and part of the money was recovered. The suspect, 20-year-old Shavon Tardy, was recognized when her picture was shown by the media after the robbery.
Investigators received information from several individuals who indicated she fled to Atlanta on a bus. She was arrested at the bus station by U.S. Marshals.
Investigators have also booked 19-year-old Dashunn Hardickman of Franklin as Principle to 1st Degree Robbery. Investigators believe Hardickman drove the getaway car for Shavon Tardy. No bond has been set for Hardickman and investigators are working to get Tardy extradited from Georgia.
Authorities say they have identified the woman who is accused of robbing the Capital One bank in New Iberia, but they are not releasing her name until they have arrested her.
Authorities are looking for a female accused of robbing the Capital One bank on Admiral Doyle Drive in New Iberia.
According to Iberia Parish authorities a woman walked into the bank, handed the teller a note stating she wanted 6-thousand dollars. She also warned the teller not to say anything or to call police or she would hurt them.
The suspect took the money and walked out of the bank on foot. Officials are reviewing the tape for more information, but at this time the suspect can be described as a black female, medium build, wearing black pants and a green shirt.
