I-49 Work Set to Start on Monday

ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - Work will begin Monday on concrete
patching and related work along Interstate 49 in Rapides and
Natchitoches parishes.
The Town Talk reported (http://bit.ly/pxGGkv ) the construction
will be done between the intersections of Louisiana Highway 181 and
Louisiana Highway 485 on both northbound and southbound lanes.
The project will take about six months to complete. Lanes will
be closed from time to time.
Progressive Construction Co. of Alexandria is handling the work
under a contract valued at about $3 million.
