I-49 southbound lane closure

Beginning Thursday, March 21, 2013, the right lane on I-49 southbound at the St. Landry / Lafayette Parish line will be closed between the hours of 8:30 a. m. and 3:00 p. m., weather permitting, for one day only.
The closure is necessary for road repairs and will allow vehicles to a 12 ft. wide lane to pass through the construction zone. The road is open to regular traffic with no restrictions or detours.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to drive with caution through the construction sites, and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
