I-49 Fatal Victim Identified

The identity of the Abbeville man killed in a highway accident Saturday in Carencro has now been released as 48-year-old Clarence Matthews.
Troopers say a truck was on the shoulder of I-49 near milepost five, when a gray vehicle hit another vehicle, which hit Matthews and two others. Matthews was taken to a hospital where he died. The others had minor injuries and the driver was not injured.
State Police are looking for the driver of the vehicle that fled... If you have information call state police.
